These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to every quote, booking, storage agreement, inspection, recovery and SecurePay Delivery transaction with DRECKMANS AUTO TRANSPORT INC, doing business as Dreckmans Auto Transport ("we", "us", "our"), and to the use of www.dreckmansautotransport.com. By requesting a quote, booking a service or using our website you agree to these Terms. Please read them carefully.
1. Company details
DRECKMANS AUTO TRANSPORT INC, doing business as Dreckmans Auto Transport. Operating authority: USDOT 1552868 · MC 690954. Office: 1049 220th Ave, Balaton, MN 56115. Email: support@dreckmansautotransport.com. Phone: (123) 123-1235.
2. Our services
We provide, within the contiguous United States and subject to availability:
- transport of cars, motorcycles, boats, RVs, heavy equipment, military and government vehicles, either with our own equipment or through vetted, properly authorized and insured motor carriers;
- vehicle storage at our facility or partner locations;
- vehicle inspection and condition reports;
- vehicle recovery and repossession services for authorized clients;
- SecurePay Delivery, a payment-on-delivery service where we hold the buyer's funds until the buyer accepts the vehicle.
Where we arrange transport through another carrier, we act as a licensed broker and the carrier is responsible for the physical transport under its own authority and insurance.
We do not buy or sell vehicles and we do not set the price of any sale between a buyer and a seller.
3. Quotes and bookings
- Quotes are based on the information you provide: vehicle type, size, weight, running condition, locations and dates. If that information is wrong or changes, the price may change.
- Quotes are valid for the period stated on them. A booking is confirmed only when we send written confirmation.
- Pickup and delivery dates are estimates, not guaranteed times, unless a guaranteed service is agreed in writing.
- Additional charges may apply for non-running vehicles, oversize permits, escort vehicles, waiting time, failed pickups, storage, or changes you request after booking. We will tell you before these are charged whenever possible.
4. Payment
- Payment terms and accepted methods are shown on your quote and invoice.
- Pay only to the account shown on our official invoice. We never change bank details by email. Confirm any payment instruction by phone using the number on this website. We are not responsible for funds sent to an account that is not ours.
- Late or missing payments may delay pickup, delivery or release of a vehicle. Vehicles may be held until all charges are paid, as permitted by law.
5. Your responsibilities
- Give accurate information about the vehicle, locations, contacts and condition, including whether it runs, leaks or has modifications.
- Make the vehicle available at the agreed time and place, with keys, and have someone present to sign the condition report.
- Remove personal belongings, toll tags and loose accessories. Personal items are not covered by carrier insurance and are carried at your own risk.
- Make sure you are the owner or are authorized by the owner to ship, store or release the vehicle.
- Do not ship prohibited items (section 9).
6. Pickup, transport and delivery
- The vehicle is inspected at pickup and at delivery, and its condition is recorded on the Bill of Lading.
- Inspect the vehicle before signing at delivery. Any damage must be noted on the delivery report and reported to us within 24 hours with photos. Damage not noted at delivery is very difficult to prove and claims may be refused.
- Delays caused by weather, road closures, mechanical breakdowns, permits, traffic, authorities or other events beyond our control are not our liability.
7. Insurance and claims
- Every shipment is covered by the transporting carrier's cargo insurance, up to the limit stated on your quote, subject to the carrier's deductible and policy terms.
- Coverage does not include personal items, pre-existing damage, mechanical or electrical failure not caused by transport, normal road debris on open transport, or damage not reported at delivery.
- If your vehicle's value is higher than the stated limit, tell us before booking so we can arrange suitable coverage.
- We will help you file a claim with the carrier and its insurer and keep you informed.
8. Storage and inspection
- Storage fees, terms and access rules are set out in your storage agreement. Fees accrue until the vehicle is collected.
- Vehicles are released only to the owner or an authorized person with valid ID and, where required, written authorization.
- Inspection reports describe the vehicle's visible condition at the time of inspection. They are not a mechanical guarantee and may not reveal hidden defects.
9. Prohibited items
We do not transport or store: hazardous or illegal materials, firearms or ammunition (except as allowed by law and agreed in writing), stolen vehicles or vehicles without proof of ownership, cash or valuables, or vehicles carrying household goods. We may refuse or cancel any service where we suspect fraud, illegal activity or a safety risk.
10. SecurePay Delivery (payment on delivery)
- SecurePay Delivery transactions are governed by a written agreement signed by the buyer and the seller, together with these Terms and the SecurePay Delivery Terms.
- Before any funds move, we verify both parties and the seller's ownership documents.
- The buyer pays the full amount by bank transfer into our segregated client account. Funds are released to the seller only when the buyer accepts the vehicle or the agreed inspection window (1–14 days) ends without a dispute.
- If the vehicle is not as described, the buyer must report it within the inspection window. Funds stay held while the issue is resolved under the signed agreement.
- Our SecurePay Delivery fee is shown on the invoice before any payment is made.
- SecurePay Delivery is offered only where we are permitted to provide it.
11. Cancellations and refunds
- Cancellations must be made in writing to support@dreckmansautotransport.com.
- Before a carrier is dispatched, payments are refunded in full, less any non-refundable fee stated on your quote.
- After dispatch, inspection, permits or storage have started, the costs already incurred may be deducted.
- Approved refunds are usually processed within 5–10 business days to the original payment account.
12. Use of our website
All content, logos and design on this website belong to DRECKMANS AUTO TRANSPORT INC or its licensors. You may not copy, misuse or interfere with the website, submit false information, or use it for any unlawful purpose. We may suspend access for misuse.
13. Privacy
We handle personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.
14. Disclaimers
We do not guarantee the lowest price, a particular carrier, a specific delivery time unless agreed in writing, or the discovery of every defect during an inspection. Bank transfers usually cannot be reversed once sent — always confirm payment details by phone.
15. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service, except for cargo damage covered under section 7. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential losses such as loss of use, loss of profit or rental costs. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
16. Indemnity
You agree to cover our reasonable losses and costs arising from false information you provide, items you were not entitled to ship or sell, prohibited items, or your breach of these Terms.
17. Force majeure
We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including severe weather, natural disasters, fire, strikes, war, terrorism, epidemics, road closures, government action or carrier failures.
18. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota. Before starting any formal claim, please contact us at support@dreckmansautotransport.com so we can try to resolve the issue informally within 30 days. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be handled by the competent courts of the State of Minnesota, unless the law of your state requires otherwise.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms by posting a new version on this website. The version in force when you book applies to that booking.
